(09:30) FELTON– A rate increase for Lompico water district will soon go into effect. The bimonthly rate will go up by $100 dollars, from $105 to $205. The water district received 80 letters of protest regarding the increase, in order to stop the rate they would have needed 247 letters. Around 50 people attended a public meeting last night, many of which voiced their disagreement with the increase. (M.K.)
