(08:54) MONTEREY COUNTY – A majority of roadways in Monterey County are in need of maintenance, according to a recent report. A study conducted by county transportation officials states that 99 percent of roads in unincorporated areas need paving. The repairs would cost an estimated $741 million. The county is planning to prioritize roads that experience the heaviest traffic flow. The Transportation Agency of Monterey County is also considering a tax measure to fund road maintenance projects.
