(06:30) Salinas – The Salinas Police Department announced that the next Community Academy will take place in the fall of 2017. Community Academy participants will have the opportunity to go on a ride-along, learn about the SWAT team, CSI unit, participate in scenarios, and learn about the hiring process. Each class will feature a new topic, with speakers, demonstrations and discussions. The Salinas Police Department will announce the dates of the next Community Academy in July.
