(08:05) SAN FRANCISCO – The California Public Utilities Commission will be hosting a workshop tomorrow to discuss a proposed desal project on the Monterey Peninsula. The meeting will address Cal Am’s plans to draw brackish water and the effect it may have on the groundwater in Salinas Valley. Input from the workshop will be taken into account as the public continues to review the project’s draft Environmental Impact Report. The meeting will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the PUC’s headquarters in San Francisco. (S.G.)
