May 15, 2016: Mo Peninsula Schools Address Transgender Bathroom Issue

(15:15) MONTEREY- An official for The Monterey Peninsula Unified School District says that transgender students are able to use bathrooms matching their gender identity, and there are also state and school policies already in place to make sure students feel accepted in Monterey. The statement came after last week’s letter from  the White House issued to all public schools, said under federal law, schools getting money from the federal government may not discriminate based on a student’s sex.
