a san jose man was arrested last night after a believed attempted robbery of a 7-11 store was foiled by a marina police officer. at 11 p.m., a marina police officer witnessed two men walking toward a 7-11 store on beach road. when the officer approached them in his patrol car, the two men separated and walked in opposite directions. 19 year-old latwan marquise langston was contacted and found to have a gun in his possession. he was booked into monterey county jail. police are still looking for the second suspect. anyone with any information is asked to contact the marina police department.
