MARINA POLICE ARRESTED A MAN AFTER HE THREAENED TO KILL HIS NEIGHBORS ON SATURDAY. THE ICIDENT BEGAN SHORTLY AFTER 5 P-M, POLICE ARRIVED ON THE 31-HUNDRED BLOCK OF SEACREST AVENUE, TO REPORTS OF NEIGHBORS FIGHTING OVER A GUN. SOURCES SAY THAT 63 YEAR OLD JEFFREY ADKINS TREATENED TO KILL THE FAMILY NEXT DOOR AND WENT TO THEIR DOOR WITH A PISTOL, A STUGGLE OVER THE GUN ENSUED AND 1 SHOT WAS FIRED INTO THE GROUND. ADKINS WAS ARRESTED AND CHARGED WITH ATTEMPTED MURDER, ALONG WITH THREATENING AND ASSAULTING A POLICE OFFICER. HE IS BEING HELD IN MONTEREY COUNTY JAIL WITHBAIL SET AT 2 MILLION DOLLARS.
