March 8, 2017: iphone app helps Catch suspects     

(10:00) Santa Cruz – An iphone  App helped put two suspects with outstanding felony warrants behind bars on Sunday.  A man found his stolen items in a truck parked outside a laundromat, on the 1900 block of Mission Street, after he activated his “find my iphone app”.    When the victim and his friend began to retrieve the items form the truck, they were confronted by, 33 year-old Jose Sanchez.   Sanchez fled on foot, after the victim said the items were his.  The victim called 911 and chased Sanchez towards Bellevue Street and detained him until officers arrived.    The victims friend told officers that a second suspect, 29 year-old Jessica Morrissey, took off running after she learned of the incident.    Officers found Morrissey on Bellevue and Seaside Street.   Morrissey was arrested for two outstanding felony warrants and possession of narcotic controlled substances.    Sanchez, who also had an outstanding felony warrant, was arrested for vehicle theft, possession of narcotic controlled substances and stolen property.
