(18:40) MONTEREY – A Naval Postgraduate School professor has admitted to hurting and killing his ex-wife. 74 year-old Larry Jones said he struck her with a blunt object during an argument over their divorce settlement, and a few days later he shot her with a shotgun, and dismembered her body, arranging it on a driveway on Cannon Road off Highway 101 in San Benito County. Jones has entered a plea of not guilt by reason of insanity (to the crimes of premeditated and deliberate murder as well as the lesser crime of attempted murder).
