(06:55) Santa Cruz – Santa Cruz Police Department detained a man who was seen hoping fences and riffling through backyards on the Westside of Santa Cruz on Friday. SCPD Officer located the suspect in the back yard of a residence on Younglove Avenue. The suspect was in possession of stolen items from a near by residence. The SCPD reminds the community to keep your doors locked, secure all windows, trim hedges below the window level to eliminate hiding spots for criminals, and install outside motion security lighting.
