(07:07) SANTA CRUZ – The City of Santa Cruz will start conducting a system-wide hydrant flushing this week. For the next six to eight weeks, the city’s water department will be flushing water through the system at high pressure to remove sediment and maintain water quality. The city has been able to conduct the program due to recent heavy rainfall and excess winter flows. The water being used to flush the system will have no impact on the city’s drinking water. (S.G.)
