MANY STATE PARKS, THAT WERE SCHEDULED TO BE CLOSED this SUMMER, HAVE BEEN SAVED FROM THAT FATE. THAT’S BECAUSE agreements are being WORKED OUT with concessionaires and nonprofit organizations. The ACTING CHIEF DEPUTY DIRECTOR FOR THE STATE PARKS DEPARTMENT SAYS THAT ONLY 15 PARKS (OF the ORIGINAL 70 SLATED FOR CLOSURE) ARE STILL SET TO BE CLOSED JULY 1ST.
