The man who died off Main Beach in Santa Cruz the other day has been identified as 50 year-old San Jose resident Hai Pham. Rescuers pulled him from the surf, along with 2 children (aged 6 and 12), and a rescue swimmer. Although life-saving efforts were conducted, Pham was declared dead at the hospital.
