The case of a 50-year-old Salinas man, who died in September, (after spending 8-years in a coma), has been ruled a homicide. Eduardo renteria was attacked and robbed on west market street in 2002. until now, the case has been treated as a robbery, however an autopsy confirmed that the attack caused his fatal injuries, and the case is now considered a homicide.
