Santa Cruz police have arrested a man accused of setting a fire near businesses.
Investigators say that 42-year-old Michael Eaton was seen in security footage intentionall y setting a trash can on fire in the business complex at 1414 Soquel Ave. on March 31.
On Wednesday, police saw Eaton on Beach St. Officers were able to detain Eaton and he was booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail.
Two other small fires in the Santa Cruz area still under investigation.
