A 24 year-old man was arrested early this morning, after he led law enforcement officers on a high speed chase in salinas. Officers first noticed Carlos Arellano driving recklessly on northbound Highway 101. He then took the north main street exit at approximately 90 miles per hour, eventually leAVING his vehicle and rUnNING towards Natividad Creek, where he was arrested AFTER A SHORT FOOT PURSUIT.
ARELLANO, WHO WAS DRIVING ON A SUSPENDED LICENSE AND WAS WANTED ON A 10 THOUSAND DOLLAR ARREST WARRANT, WAS FOUND TO HAVE A BLOOD ALCOHOL LEVEL OF NEARLY TWICE THE LEGAL LIMIT. HE WAS ALSO IN POSSESSION OF 5 FAKE ID’S. ARELLANO WAS BOOKED INTO MONTEREY COUNTY JAIL.
