BOATERS ARE BEING ENCOURAGED TO REDUCE THEIR SPEED AND WATCH OUT FOR SEA OTTERS. THAT’S BECAUSE AT LEAST 35 CALIFORNIA SEA OTTERS HAVE BEEN COLLECTED WITH BOAT-RELATED INJURIES. THERE ARE ONLY 28 HUNDRED CALIFORNIA SEA OTTERS THAT EXIST IN THE WILD TODAY…AND THEY ARE STILL FEDERALLY PROTECTED.
