A new legal services office is now open to help low-income Santa Cruz area residents. The Santa Cruz Office of California Rural Legal Assistance Inc. is located at 501 Soquel Ave. and offers free legal aid to those who qualify.
Areas of practice include employment law, education advocacy, landlord-tenant disputes, public benefits, LGBT issues/name changes to conform to gender.
Starting in next month, the office is open Thursdays 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and now appointment is needed. For information, call 831-724-2253 or visit www.crla.org.
