the live oak off leash advocates, or l-o-o-l-a, is slated to be heard at tonight’s parks and recreation meeting. the group is made up of passionate dog lovers and owners who feel that the majority of dog owners are resonsible when excersizing their pets. they have been circulating a petition to get their proposal ON TONIGHT’S agenda. l-o-o-l-a would like an area of 20th avenue beach, and between 20th and moran lake avenue made available for off-leash use. the hours of use proposed are sunrise to 10 a-m and 4 p-m til sunset. the meeting is at the simpkin swim center off of 17th avenue tonight at 7 p-m.
