A Watsonville school was locked down for about an hour-and-a-half this afternoon. Landmark Elementary School was placed on lockdown, while police searched for a man who led law enforcement officers on a high speed chase on Riverside Drive, Highway 1, and Salinas Road. The driver finally crashed his vehicle on Lighthouse Drive (near Ohlone Parkway), and fled on foot. He was arrested about an hour later, and the lockdown was lifted.
