caesar chavez elementary school students (in greenfield) were delayed getting out of school this afternoon. that’s because the school was placed on lockdown for an hour-and-a-half because of a nearby narcotics bust on burgundy drive. when the call came in from monterey county sheriff’s deputies, for the school to go on lockdown, students were practicing safety drills.
students were able to leave their school about 20 minutes later than usual.
