A lockdown placed on 2 schools in Salinas, was lifted after one person was detained this morning. The precautionary lock down at Cesar E. Chavez Elementary School and Alisal High School took place at 11:20 a.m. after reports of shots were fired in the area.Officers searched for individuals who were seen running and jumping fences on the 1,400 block of Del Monte Avenue. Police are still investigating whether or not shots were fired or if fireworks were set off. The lock down was lifted as of 11:40 a.m.
