(09:15) Santa Cruz – Delaveaga Elementary was on a lockdown this morning after someone reported that a man was asleep in a car with a firearm next to him on the 700 block of Prospect. Officers placed the school on a lockdown at 8:10 while they conducted a search of the vehicle. During the investigation officers did not find a firearm, but found drug paraphernalia. The lockdown was lifted just before 8:30 a.m. 39 year-old Jesse Avila was arrested for parole violation and booked into Santa Cruz County Jail.
