A SANTA CRUZ SAILING CREW RESCUED A GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE JUMPER ON MONDAY. 38 YEAR-OLD SCOTT WALECKA
WAS PREPARING FOR THE SPINNAKER CUP WHEN HIS DAUGHTER NOTICED SOMEONE JUMP FROM THE GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE
SHORTLY BEFORE 2 P-M. WALECKA SAILED TOWARDS THE FLOATING MAN AND PULLED HIM FROM THE WATER. THE
31 YEAR-OLD HOMELESS MAN TOLD THE SAILORS HE WAS FROM ALABAMA BUT DID NOT SAY MUCH MORE. ONCE PULLED INTO
THE BOAT THE CREW NOTICED THE JUMPER APPEARED TO HAVE A BROKEN LEG. WALECKA AND HIS CREW STILL PLAN ON
