Local public radio station KUSP’s Board of Director’s is urging the sale of the station’s broadcast license and transmitter. In an email sent out to the voting members of Pataphysical Broadcasting Foundation Incorporated, the board is urging a yes vote; to enter into an agreement with a southern California concern. At Monday’s annual meeting, voting members will be presented with several options for the future of the community based non profit kusp, which is facing bankruptcy. However some proponents of the station feel that board doesn’t have the community’s best interest in mind, and believe downsizing and returning to locally produced programming is the only way to keep the station in the community. The Monday 6 p.m. Community Foundation of Santa Cruz County, in Aptos meeting is open to the public.
