Flooding, Road Closures As Heavy Rains Fall On Saturated Ground

After years of praying for rain, Santa Cruz County has had more than its fill. Looking for something to bet on now that the Super Bowl is in the past? Try betting on whether 17 will stay open!

Take A Look At Some Local Flooding

A  40  THOUSAND  DOLLAR  GRANT  WILL  GO  TOWARD  CREATING  A  SALINAS  CHINATOWN  CULTURAL  CENTER  AND MUSEUM.  THE  MONEY  IS  FROM THE NATIONAL ENDOWMENT  FOR  HUMANITIES, AND WILL ACTUALLY   BE  USED  TO  HELP  PLAN AND  DESIGN  THE FACILITY.     THIS  IS  THE  3RD  GRANT  THIS  SUMMER  TO  GO  TOWARD  CHINATOWN  HISTORICAL  AND  CULTURAL  PRESERVATION  EFFORTS.   THE  OTHER  2  WERE  FROM  THE  COMMUNITY  FOUNDATION  FOR  MONTEREY  COUNTYand CAL  HUMANITIES.
