OVER TWO DOZEN LOCAL NONPROFITS ARE EXPECTED TO GET A MILLION DOLLAR FINANCIAL BOOST THANKS TO A NEW GRANT PROGRAM.  THE COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP PROJECT WILL AWARD 20-THOUSAND DOLLARS PER-YEAR OVER A 3-YEAR PERIOD TO 14-ORGANIZATIONS IN AN EFFORT TO PROVIDE GENERAL OPERATING SUPPORT AND WAYS TO MAINTAIN CONSISTENT WORK AND FUNDING.   THE PROJECT IS A FIRST TIME COLLABORATION EFFORT BETWEEN SANTA CRUZ, MONTEREY AND SAN BENITO COMMUNITY FOUNDATIONS AND WILL REQUIRE THE NON-PROFITS TO ASSESS THEIR NEEDS AND DEVELOP A 3-YEAR IMPROVEMENT PLAN.  THE PAJARO VALLEY ARTS COUNCIL IS ONE OF FOUR WATSONVILLE NONPROFITS RECEIVING THE GRANT ALONG WITH THE CONFLICT RESOLUTION CENTER OF SANTA CRUZ.
