Flooding, Road Closures As Heavy Rains Fall On Saturated Ground

Take A Look At Some Local Flooding

SALINAS POLICE RESPONDED TO A SHOOTING MONDAY AFTERNOON.     THE INCIDENT TOOK PLACE ON THE 14 HUNDRED BLOCK OF CHEROKEE DRIVE AT AROUND 4 P-M.    A   MALE ON A BICYCLE APPROACHED A PARKED CAR.      A MALE GOT OUT OF THE CAR, AFTER A BRIEF CONFRONTATION HE SHOT THE CYCLIST TWICE.    THE VICTIM WAS FLOWN TO A BAY AREA TRAUMA CENTER.  POLICE BELIEVE THE VICTIM IS BETWEEN 14 AND 18 YEARS OLD, AND ALTHOUGH HE HAS PROVIDED THEM WITH A NAME, IT IS SUSPECTED TO BE AN ALIAS. ANYONE WITH ANY INFORMATION IS ENCOURAGED TO CONTACT THE SALINAS POLICE DEPARTMENT.
