After years of praying for rain, Santa Cruz County has had more than its fill. Looking for something to bet on now that the Super Bowl is in the past? Try betting on whether 17 will stay open!

Take A Look At Some Local Flooding

SANTA CRUZ MOVES FORWARD ON TWO MAJOR REQUESTS FROM THE NEWLY-FORMED PUBLIC SAFETY COMMISSION.    TWO OFFICERS WILL JOIN THE CITY’S POLICE DEPARTMENT.    ONE RETURNING OFFICER AND ONE CANDIDATE WHO PAID HIS OWN WAY THROUGH THE ACADEMY.    THERE ARE 6 MORE VACANCIES YET TO FILL.     THE CITY WILL ALSO BEGIN WORK ON A 24-HOUR RESTROOM ON THE LEVEE TO HELP REDUCE THE USE OF OUTDOOR AREAS BY HOMELESS PEOPLE AND PEOPLE RUNNING AND WALKING ALONG THE LEVEE.     THE ANNOUNCEMENTS WERE MADE AT TUESDAY’S CITY COUNCIL MEETING.
