Flooding, Road Closures As Heavy Rains Fall On Saturated Ground

Take A Look At Some Local Flooding

THE FOURTH OF JULY FIREWORKS SPECTACULAR WILL BE HELD AT SKY PARK IN SCOTTS VALLEY.  THIS IS THE ONLY PUBLIC FIRE WORKS DISPLAY OF ITS KIND IN SANTA CRUZ COUNTY.  VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED AT THE ENTRANCE DOORS AND FOOD BOOTHS, FOR TWO SHIFTS, THOSE BEING 3:30 P-M , TO 6:30 P-M, OR 6:30 TO 9:30 P-M.           VOLUNTEERS WILL ALSO RECEIVE FREE ADMISSION AS WELL AS A FREE BAR-BEE-QUE MEAL TICKET.  FESTIVITIES START OFF WITH A PARADE ALONG SCOTTS VALLEY DRIVE AT 3:00 P-M. TICKETS ARE SIX DOLLARS PER PERSON IN ADVANCE, AND EIGHT DOLLARS AT THE DOOR. CHILDREN UNDER FOUR YEARS OF AGE, AND UNDER,  ARE ADMITTED FREE.        THERE WILL BE LIVE MUSIC AND CARNIVAL GAMES TO ENJOY,  UP UNTIL THE FIRE WORKS BEGIN AT 9:15 P-M. THE MONEY WILL SUPPORT THE SCOTTS VALLEY PARK SYSTEM.       FOR VOLUNTEER INFORMATION,  INTERESTED PARTIES ARE INVITED TO CALL SCOTTS VALLEY RECREATION DIVISION AT 831-438-3251.
