Flooding, Road Closures As Heavy Rains Fall On Saturated Ground

After years of praying for rain, Santa Cruz County has had more than its fill. Looking for something to bet on now that the Super Bowl is in the past? Try betting on whether 17 will stay open!

Take A Look At Some Local Flooding

A BODY WAS PULLED FROM THE WATERS IN MONTEREY BAY THURSDAY EVENING.       THE SANTA CRUZ HARBOR PATROL PULLED THE MIDDLE AGED MAN (WHO WAS ABOUT A HALF MILE FROM SHORE) FROM THE WATER  AROUND 7 P-M.   A GROUP OF PEOPLE IN A SAILBOAT DISCOVERED A BODY, FLOATING FACE DOWN.    THE CAUSE OF DEATH IS BEING INVESTIGATED AND AUTHORITIES DO NOT THINK FOUL PLAY WAS INVOLVED.     IT IS BELIEVED THAT THE BODY HAD BEEN IN THE WATER FOR LESS THAN 5 HOURS.
