Flooding, Road Closures As Heavy Rains Fall On Saturated Ground

Take A Look At Some Local Flooding

A 38-YEAR-OLD WOMAN WAS ARRESTED ON SUSPICION OF DRUNK DRIVING AFTER SHE HIT A BICYCLIST WITH HER CAR.   AT AROUND 10 P-M THE WOMAN WAS DRIVING A TOYOTA PRIUS NORTH ON BAY AVENUE AND WHEN SHE MADE A LEFT ON LIGHTHOUSE SHE HIT A 19-YEAR-OLD U.C. SANTA CRUZ STUDENT.  THE VICTIM WAS AIRLIFTED TO A SANTA CLARA COUNTY TRAUMA CENTER WITH CUTS TO HIS HEAD ARMS AND SHOULDERS AND RELEASED ON SATURDAY.   SARA TOWNSEND WAS BOOKED INTO SANTA CRUZ COUNTY JAIL ON SUSPICION OF FELONY D.U.I.
