Flooding, Road Closures As Heavy Rains Fall On Saturated Ground

After years of praying for rain, Santa Cruz County has had more than its fill. Looking for something to bet on now that the Super Bowl is in the past? Try betting on whether 17 will stay open!

Take A Look At Some Local Flooding

A  DOG  (WITH  A  RED  COLLAR)  WAS  RESCUED  FROM  A  SMALL  ISLAND  IN  THE WATSONVILLE  SLOUGH  OVER  THE  WEEKEND.    RESCUERS  USED  AN  INFLATABLE  RAFT  TO  GO  GET  THE  EMACIATED,  CONFUSED,  AND  LETHARGIC  DOG  OUT  OF THE  DUCKWEED  NEAR  PASADENA  COURT.     AS  SOON  AS  RESCUERS  GOT  THE  DOG  TO  SHORE  IT  WAS  TAKEN  TO  THE  SANTA  CRUZ  COUNTY  ANIMAL  SHELTER, SO  IT  COULD  BE  TREATED  BY  A  STAFF  VETERINARIAN.

IT  IS  THOUGHT  THE  DOG  MAY HAVE  BEEN  OUT  IN  THE  SLOUGH  AREA  FOR  A  MONTH  OR  MORE.
