Take A Look At Some Local Flooding

THE CITY COUNCIL OF SALINAS IS URGING PEOPLE TO SECURE PERMITS FOR YARD SALES. ONE REASON FOR THE PERMIT, ACCORDING TO SOME COUNCIL MEMBERS, IS THAT THEY CAN BE DISRUPTIVE TO THE NEIGHBORHOOD ATMOSPHERE, IF THEY ARE HELD ON A CONSTANT BASIS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. A YARD SALE PERMIT IN SALINAS IS 12 DOLLARS, VERSUS THE 6 DOLLARS CHARGED BY MONTEREY. ONE COUNCIL MEMBER ALLEGEDLY ADMITTED THAT THERE ARE SHORTFALLS INVOLVED IN THEIR PROVISONS, SUCH AS RESTRICTING THE HOUSEHOLD TO ONE GARAGE SALE PER YEAR. HOWEVER, AT THIS POINT, THERE ARE NO CONSEQUENCES IF SOMEONE DOES NOT HAVE A PERMIT.
