Flooding, Road Closures As Heavy Rains Fall On Saturated Ground

After years of praying for rain, Santa Cruz County has had more than its fill. Looking for something to bet on now that the Super Bowl is in the past? Try betting on whether 17 will stay open!

Take A Look At Some Local Flooding

A 40 YEAR-OLD WHITE MALE, IS ACCUSED OF BREAKING INTO A HOME, WITH A GUN JUST AFTER 6:30 THURSDAY EVENING, THREATENING THE OCCUPANTS AND STEALING SEVERAL ITEMS INCLUDING A TRUCK WITH A CAMPER.    A POLICE PERIMETER SET UP ON MISSION STREET CAUSED THE SUSPECT TO FLEE, WHICH IN TURN CAUSED HIM TO RUN INTO A SIGN, AND A LIGHT POLE.      THE CHASE ENDED IN THE ARREST OF THE SUSPECT.     NO ONE WAS INJURED.

POLICE STILL HAVE MISSION STREET CLOSED BETWEEN EMMETT AND CENTER STREETS.
