TWO 16-YEAR-OLD GONZALES HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS SUSPECTED OF SETTING THE SCHOOLS GYMNASIUM ON FIRE HAVE BEEN ARRESTED.   ACCORDING TO INVESTIGATORS THE EARLY MORNING FIRE ON APRIL 30th CAUSED OVER 1 AND A HALF MILLION IN DAMAGES.   SEARCH WARRANTS WERE SERVED AT THE TWO STUDENTS HOUSES AFTER INFORMATION WAS OBTAINED LINKING THEM TO THE FIRE AND THEY CONFESSED TO THE ARSON.   THE TWO ARE BEING HELD IN MONTEREY COUNTY JUVENILE HALL ON CHARGES OF ARSON, BURGLARY AND CONSPIRACY.
