A  16  YEAR-OLD  SALINAS  HIGH  SCHOOL  STUDENT  WAS  INJURED  IN  A  HIT-AND-RUN  ACCIDENT  THIS  MORNING  WHILE  HE  WAS  WALKING  TO SCHOOL.    THE  TEEN  WAS  REPORTEDLY  IN  THE  CROSSWALK  AT  MAIN  AND  ACACIA  STREETS  WHEN  HE  WAS  HIT  BY  DARK  GREY  OLDER  MODEL  FORD  EXPLORER  WITH  A  RED  PASSENGER  DOOR.     ANYONE  WITH  ANY  INFORMATION  ON  THIS  VEHICLE,  OR  ITS  DRIVER,  IS  ENCOURAGED  TO  CONTACT  THE  SALINAS POLICE  DEPARTMENT.  

THE  TEEN  WAS  TRANSPORTED  TO  SALINAS VALLEY  MEMORIAL  HOSPITAL  WITH  INJURIES  TO  HIS  MOUTH,  AND  BACK.
