Flooding, Road Closures As Heavy Rains Fall On Saturated Ground

After years of praying for rain, Santa Cruz County has had more than its fill. Looking for something to bet on now that the Super Bowl is in the past? Try betting on whether 17 will stay open!

Take A Look At Some Local Flooding

48 animals were rescued from an unlivable home in Monterey County on Sunday.    SPCA humane officers began the recovery at 1:00am Sunday morning, which took 8 hours.    The house was reportedly filled with garbage and animal waste.     The recovered animals had painful infections and fleas, and many were starved.      The names of the home owners and animal hoarders have not yet been released.     Members of the public who wish to donate, help out, or adopt one of the 17 cats, 24 dogs, or 7 small puppies saved can contact the Monterey County SPCA.
