A DAVENPORT EDUCATOR HAS BEEN AWARDED FOR HER WORK REVOLUTIONIZING SCHOOL LUNCHES AT PACIFIC ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.    STEPHANIE RAUGUST AND HER “FOOD LAB” PROGRAM LEAVES THE CHILDREN RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN LUNCH IN AN EFFORT TO HELP THEM UNDERSTAND WHERE THEIR FOOD COMES FROM.     FIFTH AND SIXTH GRADE STUDENTS PREPARE LUNCHES FOR MORE THAN 100 STUDENTS AND STAFF AT PACIFIC ELEMENTARY USING PRODUCE FROM THE SCHOOL’S GARDEN. RAUGUST HAS BEEN NAMED A 2013 SANTA CRUZ COUNTY HERO BY THE AMERICAN RED CROSS.      SHE AS WELL AS OTHER SANTA CRUZ COUNTY HEROES WILL BE HONORED AT THE ANNUAL “HEROES BREAKFAST” HELD AT 7 A-M MAY 15th IN THE COCOANUT GROVE BALLROOM.
