Flooding, Road Closures As Heavy Rains Fall On Saturated Ground

Take A Look At Some Local Flooding

CHILDREN WERE PREVENTED FROM GOING TO VIRGINIA ROCCA BARTON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN SALINAS BEFORE SCHOOL THIS MORNING,  FOLLOWING AN OVERNIGHT ATTEMPTED MURDER OF A POLICE OFFICER.    LAS CASITAS DRIVE WAS SHUT DOWN BETWEEN CONSTITUTION BOULEVARD AND NOGAL DRIVE AS POLICE SEARCHED IN THE NATIVIDAD CREEK PARK AREA FOR 3 SUSPECTS.  AN OFFICER WAS FIRED UPON DURING AN ENCOUNTER WITH THREE MEN IN A CAR.  THE DRIVER AND 1 PASSENGER, BOTH KNOWN GANG MEMBERS,  WERE  ARRESTED AND BOOKED INTO MONTEREY COUNTY JAIL.    THE 3RD SUSPECT IS CONSIDERED ARMED AND DANGEROUS.
