A  CO-FOUNDER  OF  C.S.U.M.B.  HAS  DIED  AFTER  A  7-MONTH  BATTLE  WITH  CANCER.     CECILIA  PRECIADO  BURCIAGA, WHO  WAS  KNOWN  AS  A  NATIONALLY  RESPECTED  LEADER  IN  HIGHER  EDUCATION  AND  CIVIL  RIGHTS, WAS  67  YEAR-OLD.     BURCIAGA ALSO SERVED  UNDER  2  PRESIDENTS…AS  A  COMMISSIONER  FOR THE  NATIONAL  ADVISORY  ON  WOMEN UNDER  PRESIDENT  JIMMY  CARTER,   AND  UNDER  PRESIDENT  BILL  CLINTON AS  A  PART  OF  THE  WHITE  HOUSE  INITIATIVE  ON EDUCATIONAL  EXCELLENCE  FOR  HISPANIC  AMERICANS.    SHE  WAS  ALSO SELECTED  AS  ONE  OF  THE  TOP  50  LATINA  WOMEN OF  THE  YEAR  IN  2010.     SHE  WAS  PREDECEASED  BY  HER  HUSBAND,  WHO  DIED OF  CANCER  IN  1996.      BARCIAGA IS  SURVIVED  BY  HER  ADULT  CHILDREN  ANTONIO  JUNIOR AND REBECA.  FUNERAL  ARRANGEMENTS  ARE  PENDING,   AND  ARE  LIKELY  TO  BE  HELD  AT  THE  CARMEL  MISSION.  A  TRIBUTE  TO  CECILIA  BURCIAGA  HAS  BEEN  ESTABLISHED  ON-LINE AT
