PACIFIC GROVE POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING A RECENT STRING OF VEHICLE THEFTS OVER THE PAST TWO WEEKS.    ON MARCH 13th A 2001 MAZDA PICKUP WAS STOLEN FROM THE 600 BLOCK OF SINEX AVENUE.     ON MARCH 19th A 1992 GREEN MERCEDES 300E WAS TAKEN FROM THE 700 BLOCK OF SECOND STREET.  THEN ON MARCH 23rd A 1991 NISSAN PICKUP TRUCK WITH A BLACK CAMPER SHELL WAS STOLEN FROM THE 200 BLOCK OF GROVE ACRE AVENUE.   PACIFIC GROVE POLICE OFFICERS SAY THIS AMOUNT OF THEFTS IS UNUSUAL AND ENCOURAGE RESIDENTS TO LOCK THEIR DOORS AND TAKE VALUABLES WITH THEM.
