After years of praying for rain, Santa Cruz County has had more than its fill. Looking for something to bet on now that the Super Bowl is in the past? Try betting on whether 17 will stay open!

Take A Look At Some Local Flooding

D-N-A   EVIDENCE HAS LINKED A REGISTERED SEX OFFENDER TO AN UNSOLVED SANTA CRUZ COUNTY MURDER.   50 YEAR OLD, JOHN WILLIAM KELLEY PLEADED NOT GUILTY TO THE CHARGES THAT HE KIDNAPPED, RAPED AND MURDERED A THEN 17 YEAR OLD ANNETTE THUR, ON  DECEMBER 8TH 1986.    IF  KELLEY  IS CONVICTED,  HE IS FACING  A SPECIAL-CIRCUMSTANCE ALLEGATIONS, THAT WILL MAKE HIM ELIGIBLE FOR THE DEATH PENALTY.   ALTHOUGH THE CRIMES ARE ALLEGED TO HAVE TAKEN PLACE  IN BEN LOMOND, THE  BODY WAS FOUND IN SAN MATEO COUNTY.     KELLEY’S NEXT COURT DATE IS SET FOR APRIL 20TH IN A SAN MATEO COUNTY COURT ROOM IN REDWOOD CITY.
