The Santa Clara County Sheriff’s office is conducting an investigation into a Monday night shooting that involved a San Jose Police officer. Shortly after 6:30pm last night, officers saw a suspicious vehicle near White Road and pulled the car over. The driver attempted to run over one of the officers, and was shot once by police. He later died at the hospital from the gunshot wound. None of the officers were injured.
