TWO SALINAS SCHOOLS WERE PLACED ON LOCKDOWN FOLLOWING A HOMICIDE ON THE 1200 BLOCK OF MORENO DRIVE THIS AFTERNOON.   THE VICTIM, A MAN IN HIS EARLY 20’S WAS SHOT AND DIED AT THE SCENE.   AS OF 3:45 P.M THE SUSPECT WAS STILL AT LARGE AND IS CONSIDERED ARMED AND DANGEROUS.   HE IS DESCRIBED AS A HISPANIC MAN BETWEEN 18 AND 21 YEARS OLD, 5’5”, WEIGHING 160 POUNDS AND WAS WEARING BLUE JEANS AND A DALLAS COWBOYS HAT.    THIS IS SALINAS’ FOURTH HOMICIDE OF 2013.
