Take A Look At Some Local Flooding

PUPPING SEASON IS COMING TO THE MONTEREY BAY.    SEA OTTERS AND HARBOR SEALS ARE GENERALLY BORN BETWEEN APRIL AND MAY; HOWEVER ONE BABY SEA OTTER WAS SPOTTED YESTERDAY IN THE MONTEREY BOAT HARBOR.   ONCE BORN, A SEA OTTER’S MOTHER MUST CARE FOR ITS BABY FOR UP TO 12 MONTHS.    GREAT PLACES TO SPOT OTTER BABIES INCLUDE NEAR THE MONTEREY BAY AQUARIUM AND ELKHORN SLOUGH.    PUPPING SEASON FOR HARBOR SEALS IS IN FULL SWING BY MAY, AND A GREAT PLACE TO VIEW THEM IS THE HOPKINS MARINE STATION’S WEST BEACH.
