Take A Look At Some Local Flooding

A  COOPERATIVE  HOUSING  DEVELOPMENT  IN  SANTA  CRUZ  IS  ONE  STEP  CLOSER  TO  REALITY.      THAT’S BECAUSE  OFFICIALS  BROKE  GROUND  FRIDAY  ON  THE  WALNUT  COMMONS  URBAN  CO-HOUSING DEVELOPMENT.      THE  ACTUAL  CONSTRUCTION,  WHICH  IS  EXPECTED  TO  TAKE  A  YEAR,   IS  SCHEDULED  TO BEGIN  THIS  COMING  WEEK.    THE  CONDOMINIUMS  INVOLVED  WILL  BE  PRIVATE  HOMES  THAT  SHARE  COMMON  FACILITIES  (SUCH  AS  KITCHENS  AND  GARDENS).    IT  WILL  BE  OWNED  AND  MANAGED  BY  THE  RESIDENTS,   WHO  WILL  HAVE  TO  COME  TO  A CONSENSUS  ON  ALL ISSUES  RELATED  TO  WALNUT  COMMONS.     13  FAMILIES  HAVE  ALREADY  SIGNED  ON  TO  LIVE  IN THE  DEVELOPMENT,  WHICH  WILL  BE  BUILT  AT  THE  INTERSECTION  OF  WALNUT  AVENUE AND  CENTER  STREET IN  SANTA  CRUZ.
