Watsonville Apartment Fire 2/19/13 8a AF

A fire broke out in Watsonville Monday, which caused the evacuation of the apartment complex where it began.      At a few minutes past 3 pm yesterday the fire began in a residential fireplace on the 100 block of Montebello.     According to fire officials, the blaze spread from the confines of the wood fireplace and began burning areas outside the fireplace box.       Firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze swiftly, and no injuries were reported.
