Stolen Horse 2/12/13 10.40a AF

A horse reported stolen from a property in Watsonville is being valued at $3,000.        The 4-year-old mare was reported missing Saturday morning by the owner of the animal.    The owner of the property on Hughes Road, who boards 5 horses, says there was no sign it escaped by itself.        The horse is described as being white with black or brown spots, and has a two inch scar on one of its legs right above the hoof.      Anyone with information on this theft is encouraged to contact the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s office.
