New Salinas Soccer Fields 2/7/13 9a AF

Soccer players in Salinas will soon have new fields to play on thanks to a $200,000 donation from the U.S. Soccer Foundation.     The 42 acres of grass fields next to the existing Constitution Boulevard Soccer field will b the site of the new recreational area.     The project will include not only new fields, but also an indoor stadium for year round use and tournaments.     They facility will provide new jobs and the city hopes that the ability to host tournaments will bring more money into the area.      The project is expected to be underway by the end of this year.
